Don’t hate her because she’s The Countess of Wedgewood

I received the following email from ‘The Countess of Wedgewood’ (my crazy Aunt) this morning.  Just to try and preface, when I was about fifteen or so and saw “The Princess Bride” for the first time, I loved the scene involving Indigo Montoya where he said that “One day, I will walk up to the six-fingered man and I will say: Hello.  My name is Indigo Montoya.  You killed my father.  Prepare to die.”  The Countess also loved this scene and somehow we started calling each other “Anigo”….that’s Indigo with a Southern drawl.  We’ve been calling each other that for twenty years now.  I tend to nickname those particularly close to my heart and she is definitely one of those people.  I’ve encouraged her to leave comments directly on my blog so you will all get to hear her ‘voice’ and love her as much as I do.  Not to mention, I have the most classic video of her in rare form that I recorded during our Florida vacation.  I’d love to include it here if she will allow me to.  We’ll have to see if she decides to come out and play.  I will return later with today’s blog entry.  In the meantime, here is her email.

I just got thru reading your Bad Husband stuff and it is so funny.  You are such a great writer.  Friend…hang in there and I know you will get a good job soon.  I just know it!  After all, I am the Countess of Wedgewood.  Where do you get all of your poems?  I especially like the one you wrote to “Ain’t No Sunshine when she’s gone.”
